Early Life & Education

Born in 1967 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, into the family of Chevalier Dr. Manuel Gnana Muthu, the legendary founder of the MGM Group. His father had risen from a headload worker at the Madras Port in 1957 to build a Rs. 2,500 crore conglomerate, and Maran Muthu grew up immersed in the values of that extraordinary story: truth, hard work, honesty, and simplicity. He completed his undergraduate education at Loyola College, Chennai, one of South India's most prestigious institutions affiliated with Madras University, founded in 1925 and administered by the Society of Jesus.

Family
